Snoopy - My First SVG Cut!

OK.  I have been trying to figure out how to load and import SVG's into Cricut Design Space and I think I have it!  Here is my very first creation using a SVG file.

The sentiment was created from Anna Griffin's new Chalkboard Stamp Set.

Hubby loves Snoopy, so I thought he would be a great start.  I downloaded the free SVG at:

Thanks Cori!  Once I imported it into design space, I copied and pasted to create the color layers and then I welded the dog house together to create the card base.  The file looks like this:

Thanks for joining me today.  Happy creating!

Anna Griffin Butterfly Card

Here is my version of the Cricut Explore Anna Griffin Butterfly Card:

I used all white layers and embellishments.  I also used Anna's Acanthus embossing folder for the card base.

I have a few more shabby chic ideas for additional versions.   Have you made your own version?  I would love to see it.  Please feel free to link up your card for myself and others to share in your creativity:

This beautiful wreath crafted by Eyelet - It's PERFECT Marty!  Thank you!

A sock monkey (she knows I have affinity for these guys) and a hand embellished and colored doll/girl by crafted by none other then Gina Piazza.  Her craftiness never ceases to amaze me!

A crafting bag full of goodies from albrennick.  The "thanks" was  SO cool!  Did you cut out multiple layers and glue to create the thickness?
And even more crafty goodies.  Thank you ladies!  I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
And that's a wrap for this swap.  I hope you enjoyed viewing all of the lovely flowers and are inspired to make some of your own.  Happy Spring!

My Cricut Explore is HERE!

My Cricut Explore is HERE and I have been super busy trying all the new features that are now available to me for crafting.  First, I want to tell you how well it cuts Stampin' Up! 80lb cardstock.  I have always had trouble with the finer more delicate cuts with my Cricut and this cardstock.  Now, no problem!  Cuts like butter!  I have also tried using the draw function to fill in lettering, then cut the shape. Journaling, anyone???  Now, I just tried cutting a vector of my Sock Monkey stamp set.  It works!!!  I need to resize the banana, hat and cupcake a wee bit, but other then that, it's ready to go!

Here is a quick video I made showing you how to do this.  Please excuse the lighting and grain.

And here is an example of the journaling you can do:
